The regular mirrors would be for, well, regular mirror usage while the front wing mirror would be purely to aid parking in small spaces and seeing exactly where your vehicle is in relation to the kerbside. It's a practical idea and some vehicles like Land Rover combine cameras in the wing mirrors viewable on a central screen for off roading and parking.
